ORANGE COUNTY Kitchen REMODELING

Orange County Kitchen Remodeling, Designed & Built by One Team

A kitchen remodel changes how you cook, gather, store groceries, and move through the busiest part of the house. Cabinet, Flooring & Bath Design connects layout planning, cabinetry, surfaces, flooring, and licensed construction so those decisions work together. Since 1994, our Orange County team has helped homeowners plan focused kitchen updates and full layout-changing renovations under California general contractor license #1060855.

WE HELP YOU CHOOSE
01

A Kitchen Designed Around How You Live

A good kitchen remodel starts with the way the space needs to function. Some homeowners want a brighter, more open layout. Others need better storage, a larger island, upgraded cabinets, new flooring, or a cleaner connection between the kitchen, dining area, and living room.

We help you look at the full picture before choosing finishes. That includes traffic flow, appliance placement, prep space, cabinet organization, lighting, flooring transitions, and how the kitchen connects to the rest of the home.

The goal is not just a new-looking kitchen. The goal is a kitchen that feels easier to use every day.

FULL-SERVICE KITCHEN REMODELING

Full-Service
Kitchen Remodeling

Our kitchen remodeling work can include design, demolition, cabinet installation, countertops, flooring, tile, electrical, plumbing, lighting, painting, and finish details. Depending on the home, the project may be a cosmetic update, a partial remodel, or a full kitchen renovation with layout changes.

Every kitchen is different, so the right scope depends on the condition of the existing space and what the homeowner wants to improve.

03
CHOOSE THE RIGHT SCOPE

Choose the Right Level of Kitchen Remodel

A useful proposal starts by separating replacement work from a change to the room itself. The two paths can use similar finishes, but they carry different design, permit, trade, and schedule requirements.

Remove-and-Replace Kitchen

SAME FOOTPRINT

A remove-and-replace project keeps the kitchen footprint and updates the major visible components.

Keeping plumbing and appliance locations can reduce complexity, but the team still checks field dimensions, electrical and ventilation conditions, cabinet clearances, and the condition of the walls and floor.

This path fits a homeowner who likes the current circulation but needs better storage, durable surfaces, and a finish package that no longer looks builder-grade or worn. It is also the right place to compare cabinet refacing with full cabinet replacement. Refacing can make sense when the boxes, layout, and interior storage remain useful; replacement gives the designer more control over dimensions, drawers, pantry storage, appliance integration, and door alignment.

Custom Kitchen Remodel with a New Layout

NEW LAYOUT

A custom kitchen changes how the room works. The plan may move appliances or plumbing, open a wall, add or reshape an island, create a pantry, or connect adjoining rooms.

These decisions can require architectural drawings, structural engineering, permits, and coordination across demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, drywall, cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, and paint.

CFB tests the layout before finish selection. Appliance doors need room to open. Seating needs usable knee space without narrowing an aisle. A sink, dishwasher, waste pull-out, and prep zone should support the way you cook. Tall cabinets and windows affect light and visual balance. The final plan should solve those relationships on paper and in the field before the cabinet order is released.

TWO ORANGE COUNTY SHOWROOMS

Visit a Showroom Before You Decide

Visit either CFB showroom to compare cabinet doors, countertop slabs, flooring, tile, hardware, and finish samples in person. Our team can help you narrow the options, understand how materials work together, and plan the next step before demolition begins.

Both showrooms follow the same remodeling process: discovery, home measurement, design and material selections, a detailed proposal, construction, and a final walkthrough. Choose the location that is most convenient for your project.

05
MATERIALS & FINISHES

Materials Selected to Work Together

Cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, hardware, and lighting need to work as one plan. Color and texture set the look, while durability, cleaning, storage, and daily use determine whether those choices fit the home.

CFB helps homeowners compare cabinet styles and finishes, coordinate countertops with backsplash tile, and select flooring that works across the kitchen and adjoining rooms. Hardware and lighting complete the design and affect how the room works throughout the day.

You can review full-size samples at either showroom, then carry the selected materials into the measurement, design, and proposal process.

MATERIALS & FINISHES

Layout Changes And Open-Concept Kitchens

Many older Orange County kitchens were built with closed-off layouts, limited counter space, or cabinets that no longer match how families use the home. In some cases, a better kitchen means changing the layout instead of simply replacing finishes.

That may include removing a non-load-bearing wall, creating a larger island, improving the appliance triangle, adding pantry storage, or opening the kitchen into the dining or living area.

When layout changes are involved, the design needs to account for structure, plumbing, electrical, flooring transitions, and permitting. That is why it helps to work with a team that can look beyond the surface finishes and plan the project correctly from the start.

Bruce and his team are simply the best. We wanted to thank you for giving us the dream kitchen we envisioned. Your team went above and beyond our expectations. What I really appreciated the most was your attention to communication (including me FaceTiming you at 7 pm!!). I also felt like your whole team was mindful of trying to keep our house as clean as possible. Most importantly, everyone was so polite. Kitchen renovations can be expensive, but I think Bruce and the quality of work they do was worth it, and at a fair price.

Cabinet Flooring & Bath Design was the first of two places I visited, and from the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed. Marcie greeted me with treats and water, while Sasan took the time to sit down with me and truly listen to what I wanted. When Sasan came by for the walkthrough, he never imposed his own ideas. Instead, he asked thoughtful questions about what I wanted, what was working, and what wasn’t. He respected my vision and made me feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how small. In both bathrooms, he found ways to add cabinetry for extra storage, and the final results were absolutely stunning. Mike, the project manager, was just as exceptional. He kept me updated daily with texts about the crew’s schedule and was consistently involved—either stopping by in the morning to brief the team or checking in during the afternoon. Whenever I needed him, he was there. He was always reachable by phone or in person, and his reassuring phrase quickly became something I counted on: “Ma’am, it’s no problem. We’ll take care of it.” And they always did. I am beyond thrilled with everything Cabinet Flooring & Bath Design did for me. Their craftsmanship, communication, and genuine compassion made all the difference. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling services.

Sasan initially helped us design a modernistic layout for our master bathroom; this process allowed us to replace our previously unused Roman tub with a beautiful walk-in shower. We decided to add ambient lighting in our shower and vanity area which beautifully enhanced the entire room. Mike, our general contractor, was always available if we had any concerns or problems. He miraculously organized daily work crews and let us know ahead of time what to expect. Surprisingly, the entire process took exactly 30 business days. The demolition crew, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, tilers, glass designers, and painters were all very professional whenever they worked in teams. (Having a crew supervisor on site proved to be very beneficial whenever we had any concerns about the project.) Overall, we're thrilled with the final result and highly recommend Cabinet, Flooring and Design. We found their prices to be very fair and their overall work ethic and integrity outstanding!

Kitchen Remodeling FAQs

How much does a kitchen remodel cost?

The cost depends on the size of the kitchen, the materials selected, and whether the layout changes. Cabinet replacement, countertops, flooring, plumbing, electrical work, and structural changes can all affect the final price. After reviewing the space and scope, we can provide a clearer estimate.

Do I need to visit the showroom?

A showroom visit is strongly recommended. It lets you compare cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, and finishes in person before making final decisions. This usually makes the design process easier and helps avoid mismatched materials.

Can you help with kitchen design?

Yes. We can help with layout planning, material selection, cabinet style, countertop choices, flooring, lighting, backsplash, and finish coordination. The goal is to make the kitchen look cohesive and function better.

Can you change the kitchen layout?

Yes, depending on the structure of the home and the project scope. Layout changes may involve walls, plumbing, electrical, flooring transitions, or permits. We review those details before recommending a final plan.

Do you handle cabinets and flooring?

Yes. Cabinet, Flooring & Bath Design can help with cabinets, countertops, flooring, backsplash, and other kitchen finish materials. This keeps the design more coordinated and reduces the need to manage separate vendors.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Timeline depends on the project size, material availability, and whether the layout changes. A simple update is faster than a full remodel with demolition, cabinets, countertops, flooring, plumbing, and electrical work. We provide a project timeline before work begins.

Do you remodel kitchens outside Tustin and Rancho Santa Margarita?

Yes. We serve homeowners across Orange County from our Tustin and Rancho Santa Margarita showroom locations. The best starting point is to contact the nearest showroom and discuss your project.
